  • [es-pree de less-ka/-iay] (idiom) A witty remark that occurs to you too late, literally on the way down the stairs. The Oxford Dictionary of Quotations defines esprit de l'escalier as, "An untranslatable phrase, the meaning of which is that one only thinks on one's way downstairs of the smart retort one might have made in the drawing room."

Hmmm, I guess Blue Moon wasn't in season, nor was it a natural flavor. :)

That salty caramel sounds really good. A number of them do. Was it pretty heavy? I scanned the links, but didn't see if it was the high butterfat ice cream.

How did you like the sweetcorn?

Do you think they would let me move in? I may be tall but I don't take up very much space...

Yes, I think there would be room. It's actually in the building with the American Gothic painted on its side.
